“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.” —Erasmus
So, I’m back in blogging mode and coming in hot, as they say.
This blog was “on hiatus” for nearly two years, which is another way of saying my website had issues, and I couldn’t find anyone to repair them without taking out a second mortgage.
Now that I’m finally back, I will keep today’s post short and sweet.
In previous years, I used this blog as a Monday writing exercise. Sometimes, I’d post about my books (usually the latest novel), sometimes about life in general, and oftentimes about life as a writer in the 21st century.
As my freelance work has increasingly moved toward the need for AI, my desire to blog about technology and related topics has decreased. Today I’m working on fiction, adding existing text to a poetry anthology, and writing about topics I know about but don’t get to write about often: music, literature, running, and other subjects close to my heart. Lastly, I’m probably not going to write about politics much—although today’s quote from Erasmus relates to our current situation. That’s all I’ll say for the moment.
In other words, even I don’t know what’s coming next week, or the week after that, but it’s bound to be interesting. Stay tuned.
