Today’s blog post is about Hot Scenes. That might not sound like it has anything to do with needing a laugh, but I hope you can trust me that it does.
You see, for the first time in nearly seven years, I will be publishing a new novel. I’m pleased to announce that Hot Scenes is scheduled to launch on May 7, and its purpose and function is to make readers laugh.
Scheduled To Launch vs. Will Launch
Now, I must warn you that I carefully chose my wording above. The reason I say “Hot Scenes is scheduled to launch” rather than “Hot Scenes will launch” is twofold.
First, I have to rely on some other players to get this thing done. Of course, for any book, that means editing, cover design, and interior design. The good news? My editor is done, and my cover designer has completed the cover art (part of which you can see above).
The not-so-good news? I still need the interior design done, and then I have to get everything set up on Ingramspark for the launch date. I picked the date, I approved the editing and cover, and I even have ISBNs assigned.
I just need the final product.
Looking Forward To The Laughter
I’m pretty confident about that launch date, as it’s nearly two months away. Still, anything can happen. Oh, and I did just move to the other side of the planet a couple weeks ago. So there’s that.
Whether the publication date ends up being May 7 as it should, or something unforeseen happens to delay my launch, one thing is certain. I look forward to giving all my readers some laughs.
In today’s world, I think a little escapism is in order, and a book with a few chortles, chuckles, and belly laughs sounds more timely now than it has in quite some time. Here’s hoping I can provide that for you all.
